One look into his beautiful brown eyes and we knew Mitch would be our forever son. He was a courageous defender of the vulnerable and young children, the elderly, and animals especially loved him. He enjoyed being physical in the outdoors whether back-packing, fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing, or skiing. He was a tremendous athlete competing through the years in gymnastics, rock-climbing, wrestling, and track and field. His greatest passion was pole-vaulting taking third place in State last year. Most impressive of all was his heart; Mitch was the most compassionate person we have ever known valuing friendships over competition, harmony over discord and in this way he was our greatest teacher.
He is survived by his “momo”, “pop”, birth brothers and sisters, grand-parents, aunts, uncles, adored cousins and hundreds of friends. Thank you for adopting us as your parents, Mitch. Fly high, sweet angel and we’ll see you on the other side.
