

Nettie Ann Guidroz Adams, born December 7, 1928, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away April 3, 2015 in Chandler, AZ. She was a graduate of Lockport High School Louisiana and married Alvin Joseph Adams (deceased) soon after World War II. Nettie was a homemaker and mother to two children. Later in life Nettie acquired a BS and MS in Education. She taught 3rd grade, as well as the gifted and talented classes, in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, and later became an IEP (Individualized Education Program) Coordinator for Plaquemines Parish School District. After 30 years she retired from teaching and moved to New Orleans from 1988 until June, 2013, when she moved to Phoenix, AZ to live closer to her son after Alvin passed. She resided at an assisted living facility, was well-loved by her friends and caregivers and will be missed very much. Nettie was also predeceased by her daughter, Robin. She is missed by her son, Robbie, daughter-in-law, Adele, two granddaughters, Elyse and Yvette, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the American Heart/American Stroke Association, 110 Veterans Blvd., Suite 160, Metairie, LA 70005.
