Neva Jane Buckley

She was born in Chicago, IL on November 21, 1931. Neva graduated from Hyde Park High School. She was married to William Joseph Buckley on October 20, 1956 in Chicago, IL.

Neva worked in various professions including banking, office administration and real estate. She worked for The City National Bank of Chicago as an assistant to former U.S. Vice President William Dawes as well as the Chicago Board Options Exchange. She was a member of the Ahwatukee Recreation Center for 23 years and enjoyed swimming, water volleyball, and pickleball. Neva was a champion in basketball, tennis, softball, volleyball and bowling. She was a noted all-american basketball player in high school and played for a traveling team in her 20's. Neva was playing full-court tennis into her 80's and was known for defeating opponents many years younger than herself.

Neva is survived by her five children, Katherine Korte, Susan Ercius, Anthony Buckley, Andrew Buckley and Michael Buckley, as well as her 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Neva will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at her home, 4835 E Lake Point Circle, Phoenix, AZ 85044.
