Phyllis obtained an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and went on to establish a successful career with Mary Kay Cosmetics. Phyllis dedicated much of her life to Mary Kay Cosmetics, where she served as a dedicated beauty consultant for many years. Her passion for helping others discover their inner beauty was truly remarkable. Through her work with Mary Kay Cosmetics, Phyllis cultivated lasting relationships with countless caring individuals. She had a genuine appreciation for the people she met, and her warm and welcoming nature made her a beloved figure in both her professional and personal circles.
Outside of the world of cosmetics, Phyllis found solace and joy in the simple joys of life – whether it was daily walks or playing the piano when her home was empty. She also loved to cheer on U of A basketball. Phyllis carried her faith with her as a member of various churches throughout her moves in life, originally with the First Baptist Church of South Omaha.
Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of beauty, both inside and out, and the memories of her kindness, passion, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her loving spouse of 63 years, Roy Wheeler; her daughter, Jenni Morden; sons, Mike and Jeff Wheeler; grandchildren, Hailey, Jake, Luke and Katie Morden. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Mastalir; and brother, Art O’Dell.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the caring doctors, Dr. Sami Zamanit and Dr. Dan Sraow. Without you, our mother couldn’t have experienced the things she did during her 87 years of life.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valleyofthesunfuneralhome.com for the Wheeler family.
