

Rich graduated in 1962 from Grossman High School. He began his college education at San Diego State College before answering the call to serve his country, joining the United States Air Force in 1963. Rich dedicated four years of his life to the Air Force, serving with honor and distinction. After his service, Rich obtained his B.S. in Science from Sacramento State University and went on to have a successful career as a Computer Consultant for Maricopa County.
Outside of his professional life, Rich was a man of many passions. He was an avid bowler and golfer and his love for travel was evident in his frequent cruises, where he found joy in exploring new places and making lasting memories with his family. Rich also loved karaoke. Whether it was a classic rock ballad or a jazz favorite, Rich could always be found with a microphone in hand, singing his favorite tunes. He was also a dedicated charter member of the American Legion Post 91.
Rich's life was a testament to dedication, love, and the pursuit of joy. He left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy Dymalski; sons, Brian Dymalski of Mesa and Stephen Dymalski (Sandy) of New Mexico; grandsons, Arek and Alek Dymalski also of New Mexico; his granddaughter, Ryleigh Mabry; sister, Janet Samson (Dave) of Pflugerville, Texas; brother, George Dymalski of Heber, Utah; a niece, Amy Peeples (Matt); nephews, David Samson (Anne Marie), Derrick (Louisa) and Quinn Dymalski; great nieces and great nephews of both Dallas and Austin, Texas; an aunt and uncle of Allen Park, Michigan; and a host of cousins in Nevada, California and Michigan. Rich is preceded in death by his daughter, Michele Mabry (the late, Ryan).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 5 – 8:00 p.m. at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248. A Celebration of Life Service will take place the following day at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Air Force honors will follow in Valley of the Sun Cemetery.
