Richard (Rick) Jack Hymer

Richard Jack Hymer (Rick) passed away April 27, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents D.J. & Marjorie Hymer and a brother Gary. Rick was born in Hamilton, OH. The family moved to Marion, IN where he attended Marion Schools and Mississinewa Schools, graduating from Mississinewa High School in 1972. The family then moved to Chandler, AZ. in 1972, where they established a family business, Hymer’s Auto Repair & Towing for the next 35 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and camper and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of hunting & fishing with his “son”, Sean. He loved the outdoors and traveled around the state of Arizona with his best friend, Jake, his beloved dog. He was also involved in coaching young women’s softball for a number of years. He is survived by daughter, Tanya Hymer, brothers Tom and Bill Hymer, nieces and nephews and a number of great nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by a few very close friends: Jay and Liz Casey, Dave Saba, Bill Morton, George Mittler, Bill Noceillo, Pete Hernandez and many others. Rick did not want a big service, so there will only be a visitation at Valley of the Sun Funeral Home, located at 10940 E.
