

Rob Dirk Nicholson of Chandler, Arizona, born on November 13, 1962, passed away on December 19, 2025, following a brief illness with cancer. He was the beloved son of Gene and Carol Nicholson, a devoted husband to his wife, Jackie Nicholson, and a loving father to his children, Joe Nicholson and Chelsie Nicholson of Chandler, Arizona.
Rob worked for 39 years as an appraiser with Mullenix Appraisal Service-AZ, serving clients across Ohio, West Virginia, and Arizona. For the last one and a half years, he also worked as a realtor with Carin Nguyen Real Broker. He was a member of the trading club Prophesy Trading. Throughout his career, Rob was known for his integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethic, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Outside of work, Rob had a deep passion for flying and was a private pilot, finding great joy and peace in the skies. He also loved fishing, hiking, and spending time with his wife in Payson, Arizona, where he enjoyed the outdoors and cherished moments of relaxation and reflection. Known for his great sense of humor, Rob had a special gift for making others laugh and could always bring a smile to those around him.
He is survived by his siblings: Lori Shivers and her husband Bill; Shawnae Carlisle and her husband Greg; and Tyler Nicholson and his wife Susan, all of Salem, Ohio. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Patti Tracewell, and her husband Steve of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and his brother-in-law, Johnathan Williams, and his children of Apple Valley, California.
Rob was also a devoted grandfather to his beloved grandson, Isaac Davis of Waxhaw, North Carolina, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Rob was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews: Alisha, Morgan, Mackenzie, Hunter, Hensley, Hadley, Mindi, Missi, Jaci, and Lori, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He was also blessed with many great-nieces and great-nephews: Kennedy, Carter, Sawyer, Lainey, Kassidi, Declan, Kortnie, Jerot, Hayden, Riley, Mollie, Macie, and Christian.
Rob will be remembered for his deep love of family, his adventurous spirit, his infectious sense of humor, and the lasting impact he made both personally and professionally. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
