

Anyone who met Robert Cashwell would agree that he was devoted to his wife and family. Sadly, this unique and loving man peacefully passed away on Monday, February 29th, 2016 at the age of 80 in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was born in Beaver Dam, North Carolina and lived the last 47 years of his life in Phoenix. As a retired member of the USAF, he served this country in France, Greece and Germany.
Throughout his life he was dedicated in improving the quality of life of adults and children with special needs. Additionally, both Robert and his wife, Odette, were strong advocates and supporters of Arizona’s Special Olympics and those Olympians who participated in the games.
He is survived and sorely missed by his wife, Odette, sons Pascal, his wife Nicolina, and John. His grandchildren Katherine and her husband Eric, Christopher, Brianna, and Paige, as well as his great grandson Liam. along with his sister, Jean.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held to share stories and memories of Robert’s life. Everyone is invited to share their memories and prayers of his life that will continue to live in each of our hearts forever.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ 85248, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM.
