Roy Alvin Woehrle

Roy retired from the Air Force after over 20 years of service, and then continuing with civil service up until his retirement.

Roy’s favorite things were spending time gardening (he sure did have a green thumb!), He also spent many hours fixing broken things, (especially clocks). He enjoyed New Mexican food and country music. He was gifted with animals, (he even taught his cat to play fetch and roll over)

He had a broad knowledge and interest in all topics of the news (he always enjoyed a spirited political discussion.

Roy is preceded in death by his father Byron Woehrle, his mother Ruby Morgan, step-father Clifford Morgan and his son Russell Woehrle.

Roy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Woehrle, and their daughter Dana Klose. Also, by his 1st wife Irene May, and their children, Kathy Ogno, Janis Unger, Virginia Wing and John May, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He leaves behind his sister Joyce Harkness, her 2 children, his sister Kerry Falcone, her 4 children, and his dear childhood friends Victor Childress and Cletus Bergthold.

In lieu of flowers we are asking that family and friends contribute to One Love Pitbull Foundation that benefits Maricopa County Care and Control.
