Shawn Paul Young

Shawn Paul Young, 45, passed away in his sleep on October 26, 2016. Shawn lived most of his life in Arizona. He was born at Doctor’s Hospital in Phoenix. He attended high school at Corona del Sol in Tempe. After high school, Shawn moved to Tucson where he unfortunately became a Wildcats fan. He eventually returned to the Phoenix area and became a father to his daughter, Shaynee Adel Young, 13. Shawn worked in the IT business and loved computers. He was also a huge fan of shooting, fishing, photography, and of course, The Grateful Dead.

In addition to his daughter Shaynee, Shawn his survived by his parents, Clark and Carol (Mullaney) Young; Brother Shane Young, sister-in-law, Lisa Ortiz, nephew Austin Young, Niece Brenna Young; Sister Shanna Wessing (Young), brother-in-law Ed Wessing, nieces McKenzie and Keelin Wessing; Brother Shalen Young, sister-in-law Genevieve Bautista-Young, nephews Clinton and Luke Young; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday November 6th 2:00 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ, 85248. A reception will follow at Shanna Wessing’s house, 1293 East Mia Lane, Gilbert, AZ, 85298. In lieu of flowers a college education account has been set up for Shaynee at Chase bank, account #3581770079 (or a check may be made out to Carol Young, in care of Shaynee Young).
