It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Troy Christopher Michael DeWitt announces that he departed this world to be with his mom on April 24, 2022.
He was born in Santa Maria, CA to Troy Evans DeWitt and Norma Larita Savoy DeWitt on January 21, 1982. Troy, more affectionally known as Lil Troy by his family, graduated from Ernest Righetti High School in 2000. If you knew him, you knew he loved animals and being with his family, especially his nieces and nephews who he saw as his own. He loved to sing and dance, notably to his favorite artist Mariah Carey. He was a loving and caring soul who would give you the shirt off his back.
Troy is proceeded in death by his mother, Norma Larita Savoy DeWitt, and both maternal and paternal grandparents. He survived by Troy Evans DeWitt (Father), Sonette S. DeWitt (Stepmother), Crystallynn A. DeWitt (Sister), Eduardo Najera (Brother-in-Law), his beloved nieces and nephews Teeahna N. Phillips, Darren T. Phillips, Erilynn M. Najera, Eduardo Juan Najera. Special cousins Korina DeWitt-Sloan, and Erica (Fuston) Jordan, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery on Saturday, May 14th at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in memory of Troy Christopher Michael DeWitt to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or Hospice of the Valley.
We’d like to thank Dr. Rohit Sud, Bernadette Garcia, and the staff of Ironwood Cancer Center, the nursing staff at Mercy Gilbert Hospital, and the team at Hospice of the Valley for the care, compassion, and support they gave to Troy over the last few months.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valleyofthesunfuneralhome.com for the DeWitt family.
