

Wendell Ferguson, 79, of Tempe, Arizona passed away on Christmas day, 2021. He was born in York, Pennsylvania on 9/29/1942. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Grove City College and received his MBA from Arizona State University. He was married to Margaret Acosta Ferguson on 12/22/1966 in Phoenix, Arizona. They were happily married for 55 years. Wendell worked as a Chemical Engineer at Arizona Public Services for 39 years. He enlisted into the Air Force and proudly served his country from 1965 to 1969. He was a tremendous athlete in high school, participating in baseball, soccer, basketball, swimming, and track. He ran track and played soccer collegiately at York College & Grove City College. He coached Baseball, Soccer, and Basketball in the East Valley for over 10 years. Along with Margaret, Wendell is survived by his three sons W. Robby Ferguson, R. Kevin Ferguson, James A. Ferguson, two grandchildren Brooke Ferguson and Hannah Ferguson, and one brother Francis Ferguson. Wendell was a very articulate, hard-working man who loved his family more than anything in this world. ‘What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us’. A committal service for Wendell will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248.
