William H Groves, 96, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on May 22, 2011. Born in Nebraska in 1914, he later moved to Downers Grove, IL, and was a graduate of North Central College in Naperville, IL. After four years in the US Army, he earned his Master’s Degree in Education at Indiana University. Bill taught math at Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis until retirement, and moonlighted as a house painter, sharing his talents with many satisfied customers in the Indianapolis area. Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Ruth, plus 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, Chandler, AZ. on June 18th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m..
