

Yolande Palmire Delaney passed away on March 19, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born on a farm near Wild Rice, North Dakota on March 26, 1934. She was the third daughter of Euclide Sauvageau and Novia Laura (Beaudry) Sauvageau.
Yolande married the love of her life, William Delaney, on July 15, 1953 and together they had 8 children. They raised their family in the Moorhead, Minnesota area and enjoyed weekends at the lake cabin in Ottertail, Minnesota. After they retired, they moved to Chandler, Arizona for the winter and spent summers at the lake.
Yolande's pride and joy was her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as her many friends. She loved to garden, travel, and entertain friends and neighbors. She worked at American Crystal Sugar Co. for 18 years, but mostly was a stay at home mom and loved being a mother.
Yolande is survived by her children, Valerie Delaney, Tina Reinert (Ted), Gerald Delaney (Bonnie), Sharon Merdovic (Beli), Scott Delaney, Patrice Delaney (Paul), Mary Delaney (Clark), and Kristofer Delaney (Abby), as well as 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents, her sisters Adrienne Hirchert and Mary Monson, and her grandson Tyler Joseph Kahle.
