CHAPIN - Services for Agnes Younginer Bickley, 89, of Chapin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, 101 East Boundary Street, Chapin, SC 29036 with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Agnes was born in Columbia, SC, on August 4, 1929 to the late Joseph, Sr. and Callie Koon Younginer. She passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was a graduate of Columbia High School. She worked and retired from Hamrick’s and enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and watching NASCAR. She was an avid fan of the Oak Ridge Boys. She also won numerous ribbons in baking and canning at the SC State Fair.
She is survived by her son, Herbert Bickley, Jr. (Kathy) and daughter, Barbara Long (Russell); grandchildren, Kacey Bickley, and Christina Barwick Wilson (Bobby); great-grandchildren, Christopher, Alex, Jacob and Andrew Wilson; a great-great-grandchild, Violet Krystofer and her canine companion Molley. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Julius Herbert Bickley, Sr. and great-granddaughter, Andrea Elaine “Laney” Barwick.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, or Lutheran Hospice, PO Box 805, White Rock, SC 29177. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
