Jean Hodges

CHAPIN – A graveside service for Jean Carol Bishop Hodges will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapin United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in room 206 of the church. Memorials may be made to the Chapin UMC Youth Group.

Mrs. Hodges was born, August 11, 1930 in Union, SC and passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015. She was the daughter of the late George G. Bishop and Maggie Dickerson Bishop. She was a member of Chapin United Methodist Church. She worked at SCE&G, the University of South Carolina and Columbia Supply Co.

She is survived by her son, Joseph L. Hodges, Jr. (Cindy) of Chapin; daughter, Amy Livingston (Jerry Bundrick) also of Chapin; grandsons, William J. Livingston, Trent J. Hodges and Cole C. Hodges. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph L. Hodges, Sr.

Jean was a very loving and caring mother and home maker. She made it her sole purpose in life to make sure her family was happy and loved. She will be deeply missed. We find comfort in knowing she is now with Pa. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
