Lance W Kulkis

CHAPIN - Lance W. Kulkis passed away Monday, May 6, 2013. He was born on June 19, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to William and Sarah (Ziemba) Kulkis.

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara (Pendell) Kulkis; his daughter, Laura (Dan) Roettger of Jacksonville, Florida; son, David (Shari) Kulkis of Birmingham, Alabama, son, Steven Kulkis of Chapin, South Carolina; mother-in-law, Shirley (George) Pendell; his grandchildren, Rachel Roettger, Mark Roettger, Tommy Kulkis, Trevor Kulkis, and a host of other loving relatives.

Lance retired from Owens Illinois after working in sales for 31 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and driving his boat around Lake Murray with his beloved dog, Valerie, who always thought she was the captain. Lance loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren. He had a lot of fun watching them compete in all sports and participate in school functions.

Lance’s family would like to express their gratitude to all of his loyal friends and family for the support they gave during his illness. With respect to Lance’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
