CHAPIN – Lewis “Bo” Franklin Hunter, Jr., 79, of Chapin, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017. He was born May 21, 1938 in Kershaw, SC to the late Lewis F. Hunter and Lois Brasington Hunter. Mr. Hunter was of the Methodist faith. He was the owner of Paymaster Checkwriter Company for over 50 years, and “Captain Bo of the WSCQ” Lake Patrol for several summers on Lake Murray. He was a Master Mason and a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Smith Hunter of Chapin; sister, Beth Larusa of Columbia and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Bush River Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., prior to the service, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
