Margaret Ann Greene

Margaret was born April 6, 1952, in Winston Salem, NC, a daughter of Arthur Waring Hutchison Jr. and Emily Ann Pratt Hutchison. She was a member of the Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church in Chapin, SC. Margaret enjoyed traveling to the beach, to the mountains and on Caribbean Cruises. Her most cherished times were those spent with her children and her grandchildren. She loved cruising with her friends of many years. Margaret was an avid reader and loved local theatre events. Margaret was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. She was a member and past President of the Delta Zeta Sorority at the University of SC.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arthur Waring Hutchison III, formerly of Philadelphia, PA.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael Greene; a son, Erich Michael Greene (Kelly) and a daughter, Anna Greene Harrison (John); three (3) grandchildren, Sara Ann Sawyer, Harrison David Sawyer, and Logan Rena Greene all of Chapin, SC; a sister, Flora Elizabeth Hutchison of Irmo. SC; and numerous cherished friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, 101 E Boundary St, Chapin, SC 29036, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3:30 PM.
