Pamela Sue Litwin entered this life on March 1, 1955 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born to Dorthey Arabell Bishop and “JB” John F Blanton, and was the oldest of three children. She passed away peacefully at home with her closest family members by her side on April 4, 2024.
Pam spent her childhood and high school years in Colorado Springs. Later, she lived on the beach in California for a few years, but found those Colorado-Rockies calling her home. Pam married the love of her life, Michael Peter Litwin in 1989 and without any riding or ranching skills became the largest help to her husband as a rancher's wife.
Pam and Mike spent many wonderful years ranching outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming until those Rockies called her home again, and they would settle in the Gunnison Valley; outside of Crested Butte, Colorado. Pam and Mike owned & operated the historic sleigh ride, carriage and stage coach business, Just Horsin’ Around in Crested Butte, Colorado.
Pam would tell you she held a love for many things including NFL Sundays, her beloved Broncos, all hockey games, country music, country dancing, adventures/hikes, any kind of card or board game, but the most was her only daughter, Jenifer.
After graduating high school, her daughter headed south for college and a change of scenery. A few years later, Pam was gifted grandchildren. And, with that, those Rockies were in the rearview mirror. Pam and Mike moved to South Carolina to be near Jenifer and those grand babies. Pam cherished every moment, holiday and activity she had with them over the years, reminding them, to her the most important thing in life was Attitude; making it the single thing in life you can control.
Pam’s last wishes will be honored this Summer, as the family returns her to the Colorado-Rockies. Pam is survived by her mother, Dorthey; husband, Mike; daughter, Jenifer (Donavon) Miller; and grandchildren, Mathew, Caleb, Delaney, Alexis and Lilian. She is also survived by many sister-in laws and brother-in-laws. Pam was preceded in death by her father, “JB” John F. Blanton.
A family service will be held at Caughman Funeral Home at 11 A.M. in Chapin on Saturday, April 13, 2024. A reception of family and friends will be hosted by Jenifer and Donavon at 2:00 P.M. at their home.
