
IRMO – Funeral services for Ronald Perry Woodard, 65, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 in the Church Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to St. Jacob’s Lutheran Men, 844 Columbia Ave., Chapin, S.C. 29036.
Mr. Woodard was born September 4, 1947 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. He was a son of the late Harry Monroe Woodard, Sr. and Elise Perry Woodard. He was a credit representative with SCANA for 19 years. He was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, where he served as Treasurer of the Lutheran Men and Chairman for the Building Team. He loved his Church family and greeted everyone with a smile and a hug. He loved to talk with anyone that would listen. Known as ‘HaHa’ to his grandkids, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Gamecock fan and didn’t miss an opportunity to watch them play. He also served in the US Marine Corps and loved his country.
Surviving is his wife of 26 years, Patricia; his daughters: Rhonda (Cary) Wells, Melanie (David) Dodd; stepson, Adrian (Lauren) Meetze; grandchildren: Matthew and Justin Dodd, Melanie and Joshua Wells; sister, Lynda (Chuck) Cramer; brothers: Harry (Sandra) Woodard, Eric (Carol) Woodard, Billy Woodard; brother in law, Jerry (Judy) Wicker; nieces: Renda (Gregg) Glymph, Sarah Cramer, Mary Brooks, Kaitly and Sarah Woodard, Erin Woodard; great nieces: Emily and Grace Glymph; nephews: Tripp (Judy) Woodard, Burnie Woodard and great nephew, Jeremy Shealy.
