Mr. Derrick is survived by his wife, Martha Meetze Derrick; daughters, Angie Welcker of Little Mountain, Rita Derrick of Chapin; “Cissy” Comalander (Kenny) of Chapin; son, Joe E. R. Derrick (Christy) of Chapin; grandchildren, Ashley Storey, Derrick Comalander, Lei Derrick, Asa Derrick; great grandchildren, Haley Storey, Kat Browder, Rai Browder; brother, Rothel Derrick of Chapin and sister, Judy Price of Leesville.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Shauna Browder.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 at the church Fellowship Hall.
