
Jane Godfrey, 95, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord Saturday May 31, 2014 in Carmel Indiana at the home of her daughter, Maureen Harlan. She had been living in Carmel for the last 10 years. She was a lifelong member of Central Methodist Church and was very active in the women's ministry. She worked for many years at Columbia Gas until her retirement in 1985. She was born March 18, 1919 to Russell and Kathleen Mason in Charleston WV. She graduated from Charleston High School. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill Mason. She is survived by her daughters, Colleen Craft of Louisville KY, Maureen (John) Harlan of Carmel IN, and Cecelia (John) Young of Cross Lanes, her seven grandchildren, Kurt Greenlee, Chris Greenlee of Louisville KY, Jill Reagen of Greenwood IN, Holly Glenn of Ft. Wayne IN, Jonathan Young, Matthew Young, and Elizabeth Young Bonar all of Charleston and 15 great grandchildren. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed laughing and joking with them. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her for her quick wit and servant’s heart. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday June 7 at 12 noon with visitaiton at 11 at Wilson Funeral Home, 420 Lee St. West. Entombment will be at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer Association 1601 2nd Ave, Charleston, WV 25387.
