She is survived by her parents, Robert and Connice Dyar of Charlotte, North Carolina: her sister Elizabeth Dyar Stiff and her husband Christian and her nieces, Alexandria Ruth and Charlotte: her brother, Robert H. Dyar Jr and his wife Kaela, her nephew, Francis, and her Uncle Lollis.
Allie loved her nieces and nephew almost as much as she loved the Lord and longed for her life to reflect his leading. Allie was a graduate of Charlotte Christian School and Covenant College in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she mentored several high school students and discovered how much she loved telling people about Jesus. Years later she was approved to move to Prague as part of a church planting effort but stayed in Charlotte after each of her disease recurrences. The last few years of her life were focused on caring for the people around her whether in a trivia team or at the cancer center. Her longing to live on mission never wavered during her illness; on the contrary, it continued to grow, and she lived it out in exponentially visionary and powerful ways. More than anything, Allie was light and joy against the backdrop of a dark, hateful disease. She radiated the love of Jesus to all she came in contact with and we are forever thankful that the Lord gave us her.
A funeral for Allie will be held at her church, Hope Community Church - Southend, 3021 Griffith St., Charlotte, NC 28203, on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 3 pm with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Allie’s honor to Urban Young Life, Young Lives, and Serge Missions International.
