She was married to her best friend, Jim for almost 64 years. As a homemaker she was devoted to her sons, Melvin and C. W., and later to their wives and her treasured grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim, sons, Melvin Clark and wife Gail; C. W. Clark and wife June, all of Charlotte; sister, Mary Brennon Jones of Charlotte; grandchildren, Aaron (Sandra), Nathan (Laura), Jason (Emily); Elizabeth Hall {Brian) and Jared. Preceding her in death are brothers, Worth and Lee Roy House.
The family received friends Tuesday, June 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral Service. A service to celebrate her life was held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Mulberry Baptist Church with Reverend David Luther officiating. Interment followed the service at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Memorials requested: Mulberry Baptist Church, 6450 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, NC 28214.
