Amber Leigh Jankura

Amber was born on May 21, 1983, in Mansfield, Ohio. She attended Shelby High School before earning her GED. During her time as a resident at Dove’s Nest, she worked at the community café, which provided her a stable job and support as she focused on her recovery.

Amber had radiant personality. She was funny, beautiful, and deeply loving. Her warmth and light touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a proud mother to her daughter, Aubrey.

She loved spending time with family and friends, laughing, sharing stories, and watching her favorite TV show, The Big Bang Theory. Music was also a comfort and inspiration to her, especially the worship songs of Elevation Worship.

Amber will be remembered for her infectious laugh and unforgettable smile, her impeccable sense of fashion, and most of all, her pure and selfless heart. Her presence made the world a kinder, brighter place.

She is predeceased by her grandfather, Emmet Robertson, and grandmother, Suzanne Robertson.

Amber is survived by her daughter, Aubrey Manns; mother, Joanne Wilkins; stepfather, JV Wilkins; and sister, Alyssa Jankura.

A celebration of life for Amber will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
