Anna Ruth Dixon Gyles

Mrs. Gyles, age 92, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Born September 10, 1923 in Chatham Co, she was the daughter of the late Poke Dixon and Ruth Small Dixon. She graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Home Economics. Mrs. Gyles was a member of Briar Creek Baptist Church and its Jolly Bunch. She was a member of Eastern Star and Red Hat Society.

The family will receive friends 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 7th at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service. The service to celebrate her life will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM in Loves Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Siler City.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Corbin Gyles, III and wife Mardee; two grandchildren Joey Gyles and Brittany Hoke; great grandson, Cameron Gyles and daughter-in-law, Susan Gyles. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gyles was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Corbin Gyles, Jr.; a son, Polk “Dixon” Gyles; and a sister, Elizabeth Wilson.
