Anna Beddingfield Stone

Anna Beddingfield Stone, age 70 of Charlotte passed peacefully on December 22, 2012. Mrs. Stone was born on March 14, 1942 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Beddingfield. She was a graduate of Myers Park High School and attended Peace College where she was a member of the Honor Court and Alpha Pi Epsilon Honorary Society. She was married in 1961 and while living in Charlotte served as a member of the Junior League of Charlotte, Mint Museum of Art, Nature Museum and the Symphony Council. Mrs. Stone was a children’s Sunday School teacher and co-leader of the Wesley Couples Class at Myers Park United Methodist Church. In later years, she gained a certificate of completion from the Washington School of Protocol and was a member of the Harvard Women’s Board Leadership training program. Mrs. Stone had formed a company, Eagle-Heart/Stone Inc., which wrote and developed children’s books and projects. She will always be remembered for her love of the Christmas season which was the main inspiration in so much of her work. Her joy for life, the way she lived and always thinking of others was an inspiration to all who knew her. She adored her family and they adored her. Mrs. Stone is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Wesley Stone Brock and her husband, Casey, three sons, Mr. Aubrey Stone and his wife, Lee Anne of St. Simons Island, Ga. Mr. David Stone and his wife, Kim of Charlotte and Justin Stone of Jacksonville, Fla. and five grandchildren, Chanler Brock, Case Brock, Anna Stone, Harrison Stone and Wes Stone. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Stone will be at 12:30PM Saturday, December 29th in the Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
