Annie Jean Poteat

Jean’s parents were Russell and Agnes Meade Johnson of Millen, GA.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Jack Lee Poteat and survived by daughters, Debra Poteat Walters and husband Clayton Walters, Sr. of Jacksonville, FL, Andrea Poteat Carter and husband Dudley Carter of Charlotte, NC; one grandson, George James Stadtfeld of Jacksonville, FL; her sister Mary Johnson Gravitte and husband Reverend George Gravitte of Haleyville, AL.

In addition to her husband Jean was preceded in death by four sisters, and five brothers.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at McEwen Funeral Service Derita Chapel 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC until the funeral hour beginning at 12 noon with The Reverend George Gravitte officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Monroe Road.

The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte and Levine and Dickson Hospice Home in Huntersville, and Advanced Home Care and HomeInstead for their care and compassion for our beloved Mother.
