

Mrs. Morris, 81, of Wilora Lake Lodge, Charlotte, joined her Lord and Savior in eternal communion on, August 22, 2013. Born on July 14, 1932 in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of Lenore Talbot McCulloch and William Gladstone McCulloch. As a young child Becky contracted an illness that left her physically handicapped. With the support of her family and the strength of her faith she persevered and completed her education and worked for many years as an executive secretary. Graced with a beautiful singing voice she was active in the Garr Memorial Church choir and worked as director of children and adult choirs. She sang with the Charlotte Oratorio Singers for many years. On August 3,1968 she was married to Marion Douglas Morris.
Throughout a life marked by physical hardship, Becky was an inspiration to her extended family and many friends. Her ever-present, positive attitude, warm smile, and encouraging word, amazed those who knew her. Always active in the work of the church, she and Doug were most recently members of Plaza Presbyterian Church and the Covenant Sunday School class. She was predeceased by her husband, Marion Douglas Morris; sister, Mary McCulloch White and brother, John Talbot McCulloch.
Becky is survived by two step-daughters, Judith Morris Mabe of Salisbury, NC and Jane Morris Brian of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by two brothers, William Alfred McCulloch of Charlotte, NC and Daniel Frederick McCulloch, Sr. (Marty) of Hartsville, SC; granddaughter Jill Stikeleather (James); grandsons, Timothy Brian (Jodi); Christopher Wright; great-grandchildren, Candice Stilwell; Hendrix Wright, as well as four nieces and eight nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 26, 2013 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC with Rev. Dr. Robert S. Owens officiating. The family will receive friends following the service on Monday at the cemetery.
The family would like to especially thank the caregivers of The Cove at Wilora Lake Lodge of Charlotte for their kindness and attentive care, as well as Hospice of Charlotte.
