Berthilda Mukandoli, age 65, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. A native of Rwanda, she was born on October 18, 1947 to the late Faustin Mutabaruka and Suzanne Mukaruberwa. Mrs. Mukandoli was a homemaker. She was always filled with love and laughter and was loved by many. Mrs. Mukandoli was preceded in death by her husband of twenty seven years, Pereus Karegeya.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM, Wednesday, July 31st at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1400 Suther Road, with Father Christopher Riehl, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. A catered visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 9:00PM, Tuesday, at Wilson Funeral Service.
Mrs. Mukandoli is survived by eight children, Beatrice Murekatete, Nicholas Imanibaho, Beata Muteteli, Marie Chantal Umutesi, Edouard Gatete, Jean Paul Muramira, Ephrem Karegeya, Claire Umuziranenge and eight grandchildren, Serge Christian Munezero, Ariane Barame, Ange Karegeya, Ashley Paula Ruhashya, Marcus David Gervais Ruhashya, Hope Arlette Ishimwe, Derrick Seth Gatete and Marlon Prince Muramira.
