

Bettie Graham Faulk passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born October 25, 1933, the daughter of the late Rev. James Franklin Graham and Eunice Dellinger Graham.
Bettie married the love of her life, Rev. Dr. J. Grady Faulk on December 30, 1954. They moved to Wake Forest, NC where Grady attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Grady served as Pastor of Flat Rock Baptist Church, Louisburg, NC from 1957 to 1963. Bettie was the beloved Pastor's wife and was very active in the community there and served as President of the Youngsville Women's Club. In January 1964, Grady was called as Pastor of Stough Memorial Baptist Church (now GraceLife Church). He served there as Pastor for 38 1/2 years. Grady and Bettie made a great team in ministry. She was very active in the church, where she served as Church Secretary for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. She served on various committees and led the Children's Choir for many years. Bettie had great joy serving through her gift of hospitality. Grady and Bettie loved to entertain and enjoyed hosting people in their home.
Bettie retired in 2000 from Mecklenburg County Senior Nutrition as Site Director for the Pineville Hot Lunch Program where she served for 22 years. She was also involved in Charlotte Mecklenburg Senior Games as a CMS Cheerleader. Bettie was very active in Senior Games, won many medals at the local and state level and was very proud of every one of them.
The other joy in BeBe's life was her family. Bettie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, DeLaine Faulk Loftis and husband, Jim of Dallas and her son James Grady (Jay) Faulk, Jr and wife, Kim of Belmont; grandchildren, Jason Loftis and his wife, Emily of Lincolnton, Ashley Loftis of Dallas, Brian Loftis and his wife, Brooke of Dallas, James Grady (J.G.) Faulk III of Greer, SC and Moriah Faulk of Belmont; great grandchildren, Bethany, Jace and Baylee Loftis ; her brother, Dr. Jim Graham and wife Annette of Myrtle Beach, SC; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. Dr. J. Grady Faulk and great granddaughter, Emma Grace Loftis.
The family will receive friends during a visitation Tuesday, September 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at GraceLife Church, 705 Lakeview Drive, Pineville, NC. A service to celebrate Bettie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 29 at Rankin Lake Baptist Church, 2705 Gastonia Dallas Highway, Dallas, NC. A graveside service will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC.

The family would like to thank the staff at Elmcroft of Cramerton and Courtland Terrace and Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia for their love and care for Mom.
