Betty N. Foss

Betty Jean Neal Foss, 89, of Westminster Towers, Rock Hill died on July 25, 2017 in Rock Hill, SC. Betty was born on May 19, 1928 to the parents of JD and Grace (McMahan) Neal in Forrest City, NC. She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband, Capt. Floyd P. Foss (USAF), her daughter, Robin Foss Turner, and granddaughter, Kelli Lea Smith.

Betty is survived by seven children, sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a sister and three brothers.

Betty was active in her church and its choir, First Baptist Church of Fort Mill. She was involved in numerous community activities including community theater and community chorus. Betty served as an officer in the USAF, worked for the SC juvenile probation system, and retired from the US Census Bureau.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11 am at First Baptist Church of Fort Mill. Internment Crown Memorial Park.
