Betty Cabe Hyde, 90, of Charlotte, NC passed away February 27, 2025. Born April 10, 1934 in Graham County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dillard Truitt and Vivian (Sawyer) Cabe. She married Ronnie H. Hyde on June 21, 1952 in York, SC. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2024
Betty attended Stecoah High School and was a member of Milhaven Memorial Baptist Church in Charlotte, where she was the chairman of the social committee.
An avid Atlanta Braves fan, Betty enjoyed baking, working in her vegetable garden, canning her vegetables, jigsaw puzzles, church activities and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her; children, Karen Hyde, Keith (Crystal) Hyde and Kyle Hyde; grandchildren, Justin (Kelley) Hyde and Andrew Hyde; great-grandchild, Pyper Hyde; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Carroll Cabe, JC Cabe, Jack Cabe and Kathleen Cabe.
A graveside service for Betty will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Condolences may be submitted at www.forestlawnwest.com.
