Wow, it's been almost two months since Ms. Beverly left us. It hardly seems possible. The thing I loved most about this precious woman was how she could make you feel so special, so much like family.

Our families met when my daughter Rachel and Ms. Beverly's granddaughter Danielle were in elementary school, probably about the first or second grade. This would have been around 2005 or 2006. We became good friends real fast. 

Ms. Beverly, Ms. Lisa and Ms. Dottie these three women made us feel completely at home in their house. We immediately felt like family. I had lived in Charlotte about 15 years when I met them, and I had never walked into anyone else's home in that city and felt as much like family as I did their home. And Ms. Beverly and her mom Ms. Dottie were a huge part of that. They were both so full of love and acceptance. They were so warm and loving to us. We will never forget either of these precious women. 

Ms. Lisa, Danielle and Shaun, we love you, and we are here for you. Always.

Bev I love you and miss you, I know you are up in heaven having a party with everyone and looking down on us. Stay sweet always and forever. You will be missed. I hope you enjoy your new wings. I love you

Thank you for always being there for us. As your grandchildren we got to see the most loving and beautiful side to you. We will forever cherish the love and kindness you have brought into our lives. And your memory will live on forever, as we tell our children the many wonderful stories of the amazing woman they never got the pleasure of meeting.

Beverly was such a special and loving soul, she was always there for me when I needed her. When I was a child she was like a second mother to me and as I grew into a woman she has still been there giving me love and support. She never said anything unkind to me and taught me that you should always be kind to others. I will miss you always momma Bev and I look forward to seeing you again someday. Lisa, I pray that this is sufficient because I love you all so much.

Sweet memories of Bev and I playing together at Grandma Kogeas's house. Grandma had a big jar full of colorful buttons,colored marbles and little dog magnets and such that kept us entertained.  Happy times. Rest in peace. Love, Cousin Dottie

I know these last months have been a hard road to walk. It is never easy to loose someone you love.  May you always remember the love, laughter & joy that you shared with her. Those memories are precious and sacred now, I know. Cherish them, and don't be afraid to share them with one another. When you miss her most, share the memories you hold so dear.

You have been in our thoughts and prayers, and we will continue to lift you up in the days ahead. Bev was a joy to be around, don't be afraid to share her kind and caring heart with others. 

Peace be with you, as she has found her own place of peace and rest.

Lisa, Danielle, and Shaun my heart goes out to you all. I know it has been a very difficult road the past few months but please know that your Mother and Grandmother are in the best of care now. She was a beautiful person inside and out and I am infinitely grateful to her for taking my beloved Buddy under her care. She gave him the best of love and life a dog could ask for. I am deeply saddened by this as I am sure you are to, but just know that in time it will get easier. There are no words that anyone can speak to make this any less hard, but know that you have friends and family that will be there to help you get through this. I love you all dearly. How do I explain the feeling when a part of your heart is chipped away! I do know that Bev is walking with the angels and enjoying seeing her mom, dad, stepdad and "Mommy Lil" again. I have my family memories growing up with this little girl that are my treasures. My prayers and love are sent to embrace the McCool family at this very sad time.

I remember Beverly looking out for my mother and taking care of my nieces when she lived in Florida. She was thoughtful and caring:)

Some of my favorite memories of Beverly was watching her spend time with her grandson Sekou; at the mall, at her home or birthday parties!!  Beverly was always there for her grandchildren; she loved them all, Shaun, Danielle, Jessica and Sekou!  She loved them along with her daughters and son in-law and it showed; she enjoyed every minute she had with them!!  She was a proud mother and grandmother!!  I will miss her!!
