He has been reunited in Heaven with his paternal grandparents, Carl S. Ingle Sr. and Ann S. Ingle; maternal grandfather, Wilmer McGee; aunt, Ruth T. Godbey; and uncle, Michael K. McGee.
The beloved sons of Sammy and Lynne Ingle, Chad and his twin brother, Brad, were born on November 13, 1993 in Charlotte. They attended area schools, notably Coulwood Middle School, where Chad met a group of people who became his best friends, and they remained close Chad’s whole life. Chad went on to graduate from Hopewell High School in Huntersville with the class of 2012.
When Chad and Brad were younger, the family attended Kilborne Baptist Church in Charlotte, where Pastor Bob Campbell took an interest in the two boys. Pastor Campbell inspired them to know the Lord and built up their faith, and it was largely his influence that led to Chad’s strong, unshakeable love for the Lord. Chad’s favorite way to tell people goodbye was by saying, “I hope you have a blessed day and I’ll pray for you.”
Naturally, Chad loved gospel music, especially the traditional hymns, like “Amazing Grace,” but he was also fond of country music. He loved older country, like George Strait and Garth Brooks, but he also liked some of the newer country, like Florida Georgia Line. No matter the genre, Chad loved to sing, and he didn’t care one bit that he couldn’t carry a tune – he was going to sing for everyone anyway.
Chad was also a talented photographer and artist, and he often took photos of pickup trucks and 18-wheelers, which he would later use as references for his detailed drawings. Aside from vehicles, Chad also loved photographing mountains and waterfalls, which he did quite a bit of thanks to his frequent trips to the mountains with Brad and their friend Layna. They often stayed for the weekend, hiking and appreciating the nature all around them.
Full of joy and enthusiasm, Chad had many simple pleasures in life as well. He watched TV constantly, always on his phone, and his favorites were The Andy Griffith Show, Cheech and Chong, Scooby-Doo, and Spongebob. He also collected all kinds of flags and he had many to represent his favorite NASCAR driver – Dale Jr. He liked to show them off by flying them off the back of his truck.
His favorite foods were Cheetos Mac ‘N Cheese and Chicken Kiev, and he made sure to eat at least one of them every single day, and after recently acquiring a Chevy Tahoe, Chad had big plans to cover every square inch of it in camo, his favorite pattern.
Chad loved to start every conversation with “Hey, guess what?!” and insisted that the other person actually try to guess what he was going to say. He was extremely chatty in general, earning the affectionate nickname “Chatty Chad,” because he loved to talk with any and everyone he could. Every conversation with a stranger ended with Chad knowing their name and some amount of their life story, and he was so inherently genuine in his conversations too. He wanted to learn about people just for the sake of connecting with them – he was genuinely just interested in what other people had to say, even if he’d never met them before that moment.
Chad especially loved talking with his mom, whom he adored so much. He was always concerned about where she was, whom she was with, and what time she would be home. He worried about her constantly, even when there was no real reason to, just because he cared.
Chad’s love and care for his family and friends ran so deep – it was palpable, it radiated – and he was loved so intensely in return. He will be missed beyond measure.
Those left to honor Chad’s memory include his parents, Carl Samuel Ingle Jr. and Lynne McGee Ingle of Charlotte; beloved doxie, Talia; twin brother, Bradley Johnathan Ingle of Charlotte; maternal grandmother, Frances Pope McGee of Brevard; aunts, Crystal McGee Curry (Phillip) of Pikesville, MD and Angela Owen McGee of Brevard; and uncles, Mike Ingle (Wanda) of Clover, SC and H. Eddie Ingle of Huntersville; as well as many other loving family members and countless dear friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 3:00pm until 4:00pm on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 11724 Asbury Chapel Road in Huntersville.
The funeral service is to be conducted at 4:00pm, immediately following the visitation, at Asbury United Methodist Church, where Pastor Gary Sowell is to officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chad’s memory to your local volunteer fire department or via GoFundMe to help cover his funeral expenses.
