

Charles "Toddy" Wilson Griffin, 92, of Charlotte, passed away February 20, 2026 in Stanley. Born July 6, 1933 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late James Parks and Mary Belle (Hicks) Griffin. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline Clark Griffin.
A graduate of Thomasboro School, Toddy served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed with the Federal Reserve Bank in Charlotte as an early adult, later he was employed with National Linen and later he became a Master Carpenter, building and remodeling homes throughout the community.
An avid NASCAR fan, Toddy enjoyed music, riding and racing his motorcycles as well as his cars, collecting classic cars and spending time on the beach where he built his own beach house.
Survivors include children, Charles Clark Griffin, Teresa Griffin Rodriguez, Lori (Edward) Griffin Alessandrini, Timothy (Jeri Gail) Allen Griffin and Ashley (Chris Rohm) Victoria Griffin; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and children, Toddy was preceded in death by his son, David Ray Griffin and his brothers, James Parks Griffin Jr, John Lee Griffin and William Glen Griffin.
A visitation will be held on February 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 pm in the chapel of McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
