Clinton Eugene "Gene" Jackson

Gene grew up in Gaston County and graduated from Gaston High School in 1951. He then served in the United States Army where he achieved the status of a SP Sargent. After returning home from the Army he became employed with Duke Energy where he worked for 33 years as an Electrician. Gene along with his wife Barbara was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina for over 65 years.

Gene was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Barbara for 66 years and a loving father to his three children Debbie Bailey, Wayne Jackson, and Michael Jackson. He was also a grandfather to Dakota Bailey, Casey Jackson, Michael King, and Jared King.

Gene is survived by his loving wife Barbara Robinson Jackson, daughter Debbie Jackson Bailey and son-in-law Dale Bailey, son Robert Wayne Jackson and daughter-in-law Leslie Jackson, and son Michael Jackson; as well as his grandchildren, Dakota Bailey (Kayla), Casey Jackson (Chris), Michael King, and Jared King (Caroline).

The service for Gene will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2461 Arty Avenue, Charlotte 28208 on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the service at 11:00 am. Entombment with military honors will follow at Forest Lawn West Mausoleum, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte 28208.
