Connie Onean Gibson Key

Onean moved to Nashville, TN after her marriage to Wallace Edwin Key, who preceded her in her death.

They had two children, Edwin Scott Key (wife Fran) and Brenda Key Holland (husband Bill). She is survived by six grandchildren: David Key of Richmond, VA,

Valerie King of Nashville, TN, Sharon Ersgaard of Doyle, TN, Amanda Berger of Providence, RI, Max W. Holland III of Washington, DC,

and Bradley Edwin Holland of San Francisco, CA, and six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews of which she was very fond.

Onean was an Administrative Assistant for J. B. Ivey’s for 26 years. She was an avid reader and did volunteer work when she retired.

Onean will be remembered for her sense of humor and her passion for life. She was a long-time member of Myers Park Baptist Church

and was an active member of the Womens’ Circle.

A Visitation will be from 1 – 2 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, with a Memorial Service following at 2 PM at McEwen Funeral Home – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Myers Park Baptist Church, 1900 Queens Rd., Charlotte, NC 28207.
