Craig Thompson Williams

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Dilworth United Methodist Church, 605 Dilworth Road, Charlotte, NC, with interment to follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Craig; affectionately called “Doodle” by her family was born January 26, 1920, in Norwood, NC, to the late Risdon Crowell and Cornelia Kendall Thompson. She was a lifelong member of Dilworth United Methodist Church. In 1972, she married Marshall W. Williams. She was a graduate of Charlotte Business College and retired from Cytec Industries. She travelled extensively with Marshall and their friends from Dilworth United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Williams, sisters, Sadie T. Bowers, Mary Lee T. Morris, Glennie T. Greene and brothers, Walter Crowell Thompson, Charlie E. Thompson and Grady W. Thompson. She is survived by nephew, Jim Thompson, nieces Peggy Baldwin, Nancy Hilton, Betsy Smith, Susan Almond, Anne Scarboro, and Sandra Morris. Also surviving are numerous grandnieces and nephews.
