Cynthia Ann Houston

Charlotte - Cynthia Ann Houston passed away October 20, 2017 in Charlotte, NC. She traveled the world and moved all across the U.S., but true to form, anyone born in Texas remains a Texan to the end - Big Spring, Texas, born.

Cynthia attended the University of Texas for two years, and while living in Indiana, she took classes at Indiana University. She was working toward a degree in Biology.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, J.A. Houston; sister, Joy Greene; brother, Gordon Mashburn; and parents, Homer and Ida Mashburn. She is survived by her two sons, Allan Houston (Laura), Spencer Houston (Tammie); four grandchildren, Kendall, Allie, Sam and Andy; as well as special nieces and nephews. She would also like to recognize Carrie Houston, a special person in her life. Cynthia is especially grateful for the care of Hospice.

Contributions may be made to Hospice of Charlotte; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; or an organization of your choosing.

A celebration of her life will be private for the family.
