Born in South Amboy, New Jersey on August 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Dorothy Domzol Kosmoski.
An avid golfer, Dan was a carpenter by trade and had worked for Union Local #1006 in New Jersey. In 1989, he relocated to Charlotte and worked for Union Local #312.
He also, along with his wife, was owner and master craftsman of Creative Showcase, crafting custom cabinetry for golf collectables, flag cases and urns.
A veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he proudly served with the US Army.
His wife, Karen Cross Kosmoski, his childhood sweetheart whom he married August 3, 1968, survives at home.
Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Bernice Cross; his siblings, Cindi Muth and husband, Martin and Richard Kosmoski and wife, Beverly; 8 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Daniel J. Kosmoski, with military honors, is planned for 1:00 pm Saturday June 23, 2018 at McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262.
A time for fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.
