My condolences to the family of Mr Porter. Look forward to meeting him again at the great reunion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The memory of Dan was brief while working for him at the fabrication shop in 86' .  I was able to work part time and finish a first year of college.  I will remember him as a man who cared about people and gave them opportunity to succeed.  Thank you Dan. Sincerely, Neal Waldschlager .

I really miss Dan. He was the most caring and sweet gentleman I can remember knowing. Thanks to Dan, Ralph and the other members I found a home at Westview. Small in number but huge in friendship and love. It's always a comfort to be there. When he was able he would come by the piano while I was still playing and wait til I finished every Sunday just to check on me. Did I need anything at all. He could always send the boys to help. I never got to tell him how much knowing he was there was enough. They all were there to care about me. We've lost so many since I came there and I feel they are all looking down on us from heaven. What a day that will be when I get there to check on all of you.

Dan was the most giving, caring and loving man I know. I can still hear his voice as he greeted me at the lake house " Hi beautiful ". If it was not for Dan Marc and I would have never had the opportunities in life that we had. Lots of joy and laughter. One day we will walk with him again in the light. I am so grateful to have had "Mr Dan" for a friend and neighbor for many years.  He was always read to lend a helping hand or as he would often say "I'll have Donald and Ronald do it".  He will certainly be missed a a great neighbor and friend.  He and Geraldine raised a wonderful family to carry on his legacy.

Our friend Dan has gone to meet the King. What a wonderful man he will be remembered as kind, and caring. God speed good and faithful servant.

The Porter family moved to Berryhill in the 1960's.  I will always remember bumming rides with Helen and getting into mischief with Ronald and Donald.  
Mr. Porter was always friendly and I admired his work ethic.  He will be missed by all who knew him.
