Debbie was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to Samuel and Margaret Dover on March 8, 1955. She attended South Mecklenburg High School where she met her soulmate, Dan Turner. She married Dan on September 15, 1973 at Carmel Baptist Church in Charlotte. They had two sons, Zach and Brandon. Together they enjoyed a beautiful life. She was a huge University of Tennessee Volunteer fan and many of her fall weekends were spent in Tennessee tailgating and enjoying football with her family and friends. Summer weekends were spent at their lake house in Cornelius, NC where she could be found lounging lakeside, magazine in hand, watching her grandkids enjoy life. The holidays were her favorite time of the year. She loved cooking elaborate meals for the whole family to enjoy and shopping to spoil friends and family with gifts. Family was the center of her universe. Her grandchildren were her world, followed closely by her beloved dogs. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Debbie will be dearly missed.
