

Delaware Mosley, Jr. was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 25th, 1966 to Delaware Mosely, Sr. and Correau Anna Artis. Correau loved her baby boy and he was adored by both his mother and father.
Dell was extremely smart and well-rounded. Dell studied many skills and crafts and loved working with his hands. He would help anyone that was in need and was proud of his accomplishments.
“Dell, Big Homie or Freedom” was several of the names he loved to be called. Dell was one of the most authentic, genuine and kind people you could ever be blessed to encounter. His love for family was immeasurable. Dell was always impeccably dressed and could be found on the dance floor with his sister. Dells talents were not limited to the dance floor; he was an all-around entertainer; singer, dancer, mc, comedian and his love for people, especially his family, could be felt in everything that he did.
Dell leaves behind 5 nephews; Tracey James Stokes, Jr. (Jessica Stokes), Travis Javvail Mosley (Simone Hubbard), Phillip Jamelle Jackson, Tracey James Stokes, III, Sage Kaiden Mosley, and a host of nephews. 4 Nieces; Amani Deiona Stokes, Anita Gariana Stokes, Aarion Jackson, Nya Jackson and a host of nieces. 4 Loving Aunts; Bessie M. Boone, Gloria Hawkins, Victoria Finney, Gladys Pierson, of Suffolk, Va. 1 Uncle; Preston Mosley, Chesapeake, Va. Supportive family friend, Bethena Jackson. Longtime partner Hope Vandiver of Anderson, SC. Dell also leaves behind a huge list of extended family and friends who will miss as well. His memory will be cherished by all.
Anyone who knew Dell knew that his Sister, Dian was the most important person in his life. He considered her his champion, encourager, best friend and biggest cheerleader. Their relationship was extraordinary.
Dian wants to share with you what Dell represented in her life. Dell was not only her brother but affectionately she considered him her; Best friend - from childhood to the present day, Business Partner in all ventures, Decision Maker, he could bring the best of her to the forefront in decisions she needed to be made, Protector, Dell would always relocate to be closer to his sister and would not allow anyone to cause her harm. Confidant Dian could trust him with her most precious thoughts, feelings and ideas. Dell was and will always be with her now as her guardian Angel.
