Denzil Fred Pendley Jr.

Fred was born on December 12, 1938 in Calhoun, GA to the late Denzil Fred Pendley and Ollie Agnes Cargill.

He was a graduate of Central High School in Charlotte class of 1956. He remained close to many of his classmates and continued to attend class reunions and lunches throughout the years. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1956 and qualified as a Plane Captain in AD-6 aircraft and was attached to Air Transport Squadron 22. He was honorably discharged in January 1963.

He worked at Package Products, Delmar Printing and Graphic Design and after retirement enjoyed employment at his favorite go-to Home Depot. He loved the outdoors and playing golf was his passion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 49 yeas Marie Wakeham Pendley. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Allen, her husband David and sons Neal and Jack Allen of Charlotte and his daughter Allison Gardner and her sonJordan and daughter Blaire. He is also survived by his sister Nan Perry of Marietta GA and her daughters Cindy and Tracy.

A private graveside service with military honors was held February 11, 2022 at Sharon Memorial Park.
