

Born March 29, 1927 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Brady Templeton and Annie Cornelia Flenniken Templeton. Mrs. Land was a loving mother to her seven children and dear grandmother to seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Land was an integral part of the family business, Merit Press. She enjoyed flower gardening, travel and spending time with her family. Mrs. Land spent many hours reading and watching PBS and golf. She was a fan of Downton Abbey. Mrs. Land faithfully watched First Presbyterian Church service each Sunday when she was no longer able to attend Plaza Presbyterian Church where she was a longtime member.
The family will receive friends 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM Saturday, April 15th at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Christopher Thayer officiating. Interment will be in Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Land was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, James A. Land; and brother, William “Bill” Templeton. Survivors include her children, James (Linda) Land, Caroline Land (fiancé, Gary Griffith), Thomas (Kathy) Land, Betsy (C.R.) Badame. David (Lourdes) Land, Virginia (Charles) McGould and Patrick (Kristie) Land; grandchildren, Noel (Kelly) Land, Seth (Cheryl) Land, Maggie Land, Paige Badame, Meghan Badame, Grace McGould and Madison Land; great grandchildren, Colby Land, Ryan Land, Sarah-Kate Land, Grayson Land, Anna Land and Eva Rose Land; brothers, Robert (Fran) Templeton, James (Audrey) Templeton and Sam Templeton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
