Doris Barnes Page

Doris Ann Barnes Page, age 93, of Charlotte, NC went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2026. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family. She was born on March 21, 1932 in New London, NC to Robert and Annie Barnes.

Doris worked for Leonard’s Jewelers, Charlotte Health Department, Brown Trucking and Thurston Trucking as well as Bush Stationers. Doris married Howard Page on December 8, 1956. They lived in Florida for awhile and then moved to make their home in Charlotte.

Doris was an accomplished seamstress. She loved sewing, quilting and spending time with family. And, her children would say that she was the best stay at home mom. In 1970 Doris accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior while watching a Billy Graham Crusade on TV.

Doris was predeceased by her parents and Husband (Howard). Doris is survived by her sister, Linda Holt of Albemarle NC, sons, Sherwood and Roger Page of Charlotte NC and daughter Dawn (John) Hrdlick of Belmont NC. Her grandchildren are Matthew (Heather) Hrdlick of Charlotte NC, Nicole (Jeremy) Harrison of Indian Trail NC, Joshua (Alison) Hrdlick of Belmont NC and Emma Hrdlick of Belmont NC. She also had 9 great grandchildren. Michael Wentz, Christopher Hrdlick, Morgan Hrdlick, Zoe Harrison, Elle Harrison, Ronan Hrdlick, Silas Hrdlick, Noah Harrison and Theo Hrdlick.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service, located at 5301 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. Funeral Service will immediately follow. Doris will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
