He was the son of the late Warren N. and Rebecca S. Woodrow and was born and raised in the Paw Creek area of Charlotte, NC.
He was predeceased by his beloved first born son Joshua Charles Woodrow Sr. and his wife and best friend Cheryl Poplin Woodrow.
Woody was a welder by trade and a master mechanic. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting/fishing, NASCAR, bluegrass music, hockey games, the mountains and especially thrift stores, flea markets and any kind of sale!
Since his retirement he enjoyed most everyday with his youngest son and best friend Zach, his cherished daughter-in-law Lauren, and the apple of his eye, his precious granddaughter Hope, and every chance he got to be with his favorite grandson, Josh Jr.
Dwayne never met a stranger and had cherished life-long friends that he spent many great times with.
He was a wonderful big brother to his sister Teresa and brother Derek who loved him dearly and who will be lost without him. He will also be sorely missed by his much loved dog and sidekick Tyson.
He is survived by his son Zachary Woodrow and wife Lauren of Concord, NC, his sister Teresa Farrar of Cramerton, NC, his brother Derek and wife Lynese of Bessemer City, NC, Beloved grandchildren Joshua Charles Woodrow, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, and Hope Ann Woodrow of Concord, NC, nephew Chris McAllister and wife Heather of Cramerton, NC and two great nieces and two great nephews.
