Earnestine was a much loved mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and so much more. Known as “Memaw Teeny,” she will be greatly missed on this earth, but her family rejoices in the confidence that Jesus welcomed her into the great company of saints, including her husband, Vernon. Earnestine found great joy in her daughters, as well as her sons-n-law, Bob, Tim and Marc; her grandchildren, Kalee & Matt, Jena & Hann, Jillian & Bob, Tyler & Kacie, Madison, Harrison, Carson and Mason; her great grandchildren, Abby, Bryson, Rylee, Zander, Ellie, Aubrey, Braxton, and Sylas, who is on the way!
From the 1960s through 1998 Earnestine was a business woman. She spent most of that time as a secretary and traffic coordinator in the textile industry. She got up early, cooked breakfast for her family, worked 9-5, and cooked a homemade dinner, which included dessert. She was involved in her local church, women's circles, taught Sunday School, loved reading her Bible and much more. Earnestine sewed clothes for the family and was known for crocheting baby blankets for countless new babies.
Earnestine was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Vernon Williams, her parents, Theron Hudgins and Ruby Matthews, her grandchild, Mercy, her great granddaughter, McKinley, her brother Bill Hudgins, her sister Nell Cain, and her much loved nephew, Bob Cain.
The Williams family will greet friends Saturday, the 10th of August, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Forest Lawn West Funeral Service. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM in the Chapel and burial will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
